PPGI Coil Basic Concept

Technical Process

1. Cold-rolled substrate color coated steel

The organic coating coated on the hot-dip galvanized steel products obtained is hot-dip galvanized color coated plate. In addition to the hot galvanized color coated zinc coating with the protective effect, the surface of the organic coating also played a protective isolation to prevent the role of rust and the service life of hot-dip galvanized sheet is longer. Hot dip galvanized substrate zinc content is generally 180g / m2 (double), building exterior hot dip galvanized substrate galvanized up to 275g / m2.

3. Hot-dip galvalume color-coated plate

Depending on requirements, hot-dip aluminized steel sheets can also be used as color coated substrates (55% AI-Zn and 5% AI-Zn).

4. Electric-galvanized color-coated plate

Galvanized sheet as a substrate, coated with the organic paint baked product is galvanized color coated steel sheet. Electric-galvanized sheet due to the zinc layer is thin, usually zinc content of 20 / 20g / m2, so the product is not suitable for use on the outdoor production walls, roofs and so on. But because of its beautiful appearance and excellent processing properties, it is mainly used for home appliances, audio, steel furniture, interior decoration and so on.


Coated steel plate with light, beautiful and good corrosion resistance, but also direct processing, it provides the construction industry, shipbuilding, vehicle manufacturing, furniture industry, the electrical industry provides a new type of raw materials, played a steel generation wood, efficient construction, energy conservation, pollution prevention and other good results. In addition to zinc protection, the organic coating on the zinc layer acts as a cover and insulation to prevent rusting of the steel plate and has a longer service life than the galvanized steel plate. However, in different regions and different parts of the use of the same amount of zinc coating, the same coating, the same thickness of the coating color coating plate, the service life will be very different. For example, in industrial or coastal areas, the service life is affected by the accelerated corrosion due to the effects of sulfur dioxide gas or salt in the air. In the rainy season, the coating has been eroded by rain for a long time, or it will corrode quickly and its service life will be reduced if the temperature difference between day and night is too high. Buildings or factories made of color coated steel often have a long service life with rain water, otherwise they are affected by the effects of sulfur dioxide gas, salt and dust.

Development Trend

First, the use of the high-quality substrate, the substrate surface, shape and size accuracy requirements are getting higher and higher, outdoor use such as small zinc flower flat galvanized steel coil, zinc-free flower flat galvanized steel coil and zinc alloy hot dip coil. Indoor use such as electric-galvanized steel coil, film cold-rolled plate, and aluminum coil.

Second, to improve the pretreatment process and pretreatment liquid, the small number of equipment, low cost as the mainstream technology, and constantly improve the pretreatment liquid stability, corrosion resistance, environmental performance.

Third, pay attention to the development of new coatings, the general polyester, polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) and plastisol improved to obtain super color reproducibility, anti-UV, anti-sulfur dioxide and improve corrosion resistance; Development of pollution-resistant, heat-absorbing and other functional coatings.

Fifth, the cost of cold embossing is lower than that of hot embossing, and has the characteristics of beautiful appearance, three-dimensional feeling and high strength, thus making cold embossing production technology a trend of development.
